The foliage of this grass is a bright golden yellow with two small green margins on either side of the leaf, bringing a lot of light into the garden. The plant produces fine brown spikes of flowers in spring. This perennial grass develops a rounded clump that can reach 40 to 50 cm in height and width. It grows in rich, moist soil, but tolerates dry soil well. It can be grown in sun, semi-shade or shade. This perennial grass is hardy up to zone 4.
