Colocasia ‘Polargreen’

Colocases generally cope very well with Quebec’s summer temperatures, but who’d have thought it, we’ve been offered a new selection that could survive up to zone 5 by 2024! This is the first time that a colocase has been resistant in such a low hardiness zone, very close to zone 4. Polargreen’ has medium-green leaves with pink stems. This colocase emerges late in the season and produces no bulbs. It can reach a height of 1 m.
